The Graduate

About a week ago I was able go back to Utah to walk for graduation at LDS Business College. It was actually my first time walking for graduation since I graduated in homeschool my last year of high school. Elder Holland and Christopherson were in attendance along with their wives, which was very exciting. I'm not sure if everyone who reads this knows, but I am going to be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a little over a month. I'll be serving in Houston Texas speaking some espanol. I'm very excited and feel very privileged to do so! I was also able to visit Peter, Tara, Brady, and Liz on my trip. We had a blast! I will truly miss the visits up to Rexburg and going to Brady and Liz's for a movie/brownie night. You guys are great and will be greatly missed! And of course I will miss my NC family and friends as well.

It's been awhile..

So, it has been a long time since I've logged onto this blog. It is a new year, and as always things never seem to slow down. It's rather sad that you can't stop, or slow down time to saver the moments you want to last forever. Well, at the moment back home things are doing good. Peter is on the job hunt, and is in dyer need of more college students his age around. Luckily he will be reunited with people his age in the summer time.. Mady and Savannah are enjoying school. Both of them are growing up so fast, and they better watch out for boys. Parents are doing well, and are looking good as they grow old. :) just kidding Mom and Dad, you guys still have plenty of kick left in you. As for me, I'm doing just dandy out here in Utah. I'm moving into a different apartment and am really excited about that! The snow and smog are beginning to get a little old, but other than that things are good. Well, i'm not sure what exactly to write, but I'll write about soon.

Snow in September

Well, last night Logan was expecting a rain storm, which turned into a cold snap and now we have snow. I'm not overly excited about the snow since it is only September! Yesterday, it was in the 70's and today I don't think it rose above 40 degrees. Needless to say it is very cold and everyone is now wearing coats... except the select few crazies who are still in shorts and t-shirts. Unfortunately my only way of transportation at the moment is a bike and scooter. I feel like my nose is going to fall off when I ride either of my rides. Maybe I should get one of those complete face masks.. That could be an option so that I don't lose total feeling on my face. Anyway, besides the cold everything else is going well. I'll post pictures as soon as I can either buy a cord for my camera, or plud in my sd chip in some computer. Hopefully soon. Hope everyone is doing well!

College...

So, college life is pretty grand. I've been to an 80's dance, foam dance, became a true Aggie, a bon fire, meet new friends everyday, and am learning how to cook and survive without Mom, attepmted to go cliff jumping, gotten to know Logan VERY well due to my transportation (my bike), had a Bourne movie marathon, and lots more stuff. So far things are going well, although, I really miss the south and everyone there. I'm greatful to be here, and am slowly adjusting to the dry air, and other weird things that only happen in Utah. My classes are going well. I like most all of them. Today, I had an exam in Geology and am pretty sure I flunked it. Probably because I only studied for about 3 hours prior to the day of it. My math class is going good. I really like math and I understand it really well too. English is also good. I really have enjoyed writing and learning different techniques on how to write.

Tonight, I'm going to institute dance, and then later go to a party. It should be lots of fun!!! I'll keep you guys posted on what happens in the near future...

Triathlon

This is the best smile I could muster up afterwards. : )
Me just lookin good : )
Just getting my bike outta the car. You can't really see this, but I rode a mountain bike. BIG mistake! Not only are they a whole lot heavier than road bikes, but they're just harder to pedal. Oh and I also found out that you need water during the biking. Wow that was a rude awakening.
This is the T-shirt that I wasn't too pleased with. Pretty plain and ugly. Next time i'll have to make sure it's a cool looking shirt before I sign up for the race.
My encouragement for the 11.6 mile bike ride.

Well... I did it! : ) Today I was brave enough to try a triathlon. It was the most fun race I've ever done! Challenging? yes. Could I have done better? sure. But it was AWESOME!!! Unfortunately we forgot the camera for the event! So, here are the pictures from after.
